I’m Garry Floyd, an artist based in Somerset, creating work that’s rooted in emotion, memory, and meaning.

My paintings aren’t just about how something looks — they’re about how it feels. Whether it’s comfort, nostalgia, love, or loss, each piece is designed to connect on a personal level and say something words often can’t.

I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember, but over time my focus has become clearer: to make art that people don’t just hang on a wall, but live with. Work that becomes part of someone’s story.

Nature, everyday moments, and human connection all feed into what I do, but the real driving force is emotion. That quiet feeling you can’t quite explain — that’s what I try to capture.

I work across different mediums, often combining texture and detail to create pieces that feel both raw and considered. No two works are ever the same, and that’s intentional. Each one has its own personality, its own meaning.

When I’m not painting, I’m usually exploring new ideas, pushing my process, or playing drums in a local covers band — another outlet where energy and expression take over.

At its core, my work is about connection. If something I’ve created makes you feel something — even if you can’t explain it — then it’s done its job.
