I am delighted to present my new collection of paintings, inspired by my deep appreciation for coastal life. Residing in a seaside town on the south west, I am somewhat surprised that this is the first time I have addressed this subject in my work.

From the outset, my intention was to approach this theme uniquely, differentiating my seascapes from the many existing interpretations. I take pride in offering a distinctive perspective on the world around us, providing an escape from reality through my art. Whether it is through the creation of enchanting realms in my "The Lost Kingdom" series or depicting the humble robin redbreast in settings beyond the traditional Christmas card, each piece emerges from the heart, imbued with months of thought, meaning, and planning.

As a 3D artist with over a decade of experience working with resin, I have encountered numerous resin wave creations. However, I did not want to merely represent my surroundings and cherished childhood memories of beach holidays through waves alone. I recognized that the sea had to be a significant aspect of my work, but I also sought to incorporate beach life and the charm of quirky coastal towns. The rugged hills, unique cottages, lighthouses, and even camper vans are all hand-sculpted directly onto the canvas, rendering each painting completely unique. They even cast their own shadows, enhancing their lifelike quality in a manner that sets them apart from others.

The selection of new frames I am utilising for some pieces imparts a sleek, contemporary aesthetic. Each frame is meticulously sanded, primed, and painted by me, adding a personal touch to the final presentation. The paintings are displayed on deep-edge canvases, float-mounted within solid wood box frames.
